The seafood restaurants, named in Portuguese as "Cervejarias" or "Marisqueiras", are restaurants that serve mainly seafood and beer in a relaxed atmosphere. Most of them also serve fish and meat, but seafood is the main reason for customers to go there. Some tourists confuse a fish restaurant with a "Marisqueira". The best way to understand the differences is to go to one of these "Marisqueiras" and order Lobster, Crab, Clam, Prawn or Shrimp. I advise you, before you go, to confirm that your credit card is full.​
